To: Carillon Residents
As we are sure you are aware, a break-in occurred on Monday, June 11, on Westbourne Drive in Heronwood/Stratton. The suspect was shot and wounded by the homeowner and fled the scene. It is believed he ended up at the BP gas station on Alafaya across from UCF.
Less than two weeks ago, on May 31, there was a break-in at a home in Westhampton. The suspect smashed the rear sliding glass windows and looted the residence.
Both of these incidents occurred during the day, when many residents are away from their homes at work. We want you all to be informed and alert about possible criminal activity. We are concerned and have been in contact with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. We hope to have a representative of the Sheriff’s Office at our HOA Board meeting next week, which will be held on Wednesday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the Twin Rivers Golf Club, 2100 Ekana Drive, Oviedo.
You are always invited to attend the HOA Board meetings, but we encourage you to attend the one next week. This is our home, our community. Together we can look out for each other. We want our homeowners to feel safe and we want you to have an outlet where you can give us your thoughts.
